The breakfast bread was really hard, and the pastries weren’t good. The basement also had a garbage smell. Around the hotel, the carpets in both the halls and rooms were very dirty, the wardrobe handles were moldy, and the little room balcony was dirty too. The pool area looked neglected. Cleanliness and upkeep need a lot more attention.

The food was great, and the place felt super cozy. I stayed with friends, and the interior had that duchess kind of look. I loved how cozy it was.

I booked an executive smoking room, and even showed the FORMAL eticket saying that, but they said all the smoking rooms were full. The room itself felt creepy, the carpets were filthy and dusty, and the parking area was even messier and humid. There was no shampoo, just one small hand soap. I don’t recommend bringing kids here. As soon as I walked over to the bed, I started sneezing and got the flu all over. You might want to think twice before staying.

The location was the one clear plus. Botani Square is walkable, and there are restaurants and gift shops nearby. The food was decent, with a range of choices, and the security and staff were friendly. But the room was a mess. There was a candy wrapper under the bed, ants coming from the walls, unknown marks on the furniture, and stains on the sheets. Some lights didn’t work, the toilet leaked, and there were no bath mats or slippers until we asked. The AC was on when we arrived, but there was no remote in any drawer. We called reception twice and were told someone would come. A staff member showed up, said he’d get the remote, and didn’t return. After waiting 1.5 hours, we went to the lobby. Another staff member found it under the bed. After finding the wrapper there, I wasn’t about to search under it for more surprises. The elevator shook a lot and made me anxious, and its doors took a long time to open. I don’t know whether it gets routine maintenance. I expected a clean room, which is the bare minimum, and I can’t say whether other rooms are the same or we were just unlucky. It was a disappointing stay, though there’s room for improvement.
