Bogor Green Forest Hotel

The road was already difficult because a landslide had closed Jl. Batu Tulis, making the trip stressful. With access like that, honest information and good service mattered even more. Instead, our stay was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend booking the villa option unless management fixes the listing and improves professionalism and noise control. I booked one Villa Group Garden for six people at Green Forest Bogor, expecting a separate unit overlooking a garden and suitable for a quiet family stay. We got a large shared room with six beds and only two shower rooms, more like a hostel dorm. There was no garden view, just a muddy patch. The building wasn't in the main hotel complex, wasn't a private villa, and didn't feel anything like a villa. For a place claiming four-star status, it was far below standard. The “villa” listing felt like false advertising, and the expectations weren't set honestly. For what we paid, it wasn't worth the money. At check-in we paid the IDR 100,000 deposit, which was fine. I had clearly asked for a quiet area because we were with family and staying on New Year's Eve. The staff member laughed at the request, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. As I feared, a group next door played loud music, grilled, and chatted past 11 PM, so we couldn't rest. We called to ask for a room change, but nothing happened right away. My husband had to go all the way to the check-in counter, quite far from the villa area, before they finally moved us to a newer building. They should have dealt with it promptly without us having to chase them.

The hotel could be perfect for a staycation if the restaurant served decent food. It's far from the city center, so guests need a good restaurant on site. The buffet breakfast was very disappointing. I felt cheated.

A great spot for a weekend staycation with kids and family. I recommend visiting. It'll boost your mood and help you make the most of your time here.

We had a big event here, and the facilities were complete and suitable for it. The room was large enough for six people and had two bathrooms. The food was just okay and could be better. I'd highly recommend the place for an office or church gathering.
