We booked the big room, which felt like good value for the price. The service was lovely and helpful, too. As a foreigner, I'd say this is a good homestay. It has more of a sweet house feel, with the charm of its surroundings, and isn't too old or run-down.

The bed squeaked a bit, but the price for one night was cheap and the facilities were great. We were upgraded to a King Room with a pleasant garden view. The shower got hot enough, and soap and shampoo were included for free.

The room's on the small side, but it was plenty of space for one person. I slept comfortably in the bed with its nice linen, and there was air con, a little kettle, and lots of hot water in the shower. The owner was friendly, and Bogor made a great base to explore from. Highly recommended.

I only had one small complaint: I would have preferred a lid on the water in the shared bathroom. Otherwise, nothing to object to. Gunawan and his family were lovely and did all they could to make me comfortable. They offered traditional and Western breakfast choices, and shared lots of information about local points of interest and services. Thank you!
