The best part of my nearly two weeks at the Onyx Beach Hotel was how looked after I felt. Nesa and the whole team were warm, attentive, and ready to help every day, and nothing I asked for felt like too much. They made it feel like home, and I’m grateful for their kindness. I’d happily come back and wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. Thanks again to Nesa and his amazing team!

You can walk to just about anything from here, but the hotel itself sits just off a busy street and feels quiet and tucked away. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. It’s a new place in its soft launch, so there were some kinks: no stove exhaust, no cutting board or coffee machine, and one curtain was missing. The team took our feedback really well, and I’m sure they’ll get things sorted soon. There are no meals on site, though they have a great arrangement with a healthy restaurant around the corner that has a huge menu.

A quiet place in the middle of Canggu, which is getting harder to find. The staff are the friendliest and always glad to share local tips. I’ve just had three nights at this lovely spot and will definitely be back. See you soon, Onyx Beach Hotel!

The person who checked me in was nice, but the hotel listing on Booking.com is misleading with its five-star rating. There are no amenities, and the room photos make it seem like the pool is private when it’s actually shared. I gave the service two stars because they canceled my reservation. I still had a lot of trouble getting there and finding another hotel, and the whole thing wasted my time.
