I only stayed one night. Around 3 a.m., a terrible smell from frying food and loud chanting woke me up. A man was praying noisily downstairs, and staff seemed to be cooking in a kitchen with no window, open straight onto the corridor. The smell drifted into the rooms. Some young people arrived later and were noisy too. If you need to sleep, I'd suggest staying somewhere else.

The reception staff were all very smiley, but the room fell short of what I expected, so I changed hotels. It hadn't been cleaned well, the only drawer was full of ashes, and I counted nine cigarette burns on the sheets. There wasn't a sink for washing hands, only a bucket of water and liquid soap. The toilet looked very old, and I couldn't tell whether it worked or if you were supposed to flush it with the bucket. I can understand that setup, but I didn't dare sit on it. The towels, curtains, and pillowcases were stained, and the glass door didn't make me feel very confident. I can't say whether all the rooms were like this or I was just unlucky.

For a budget hotel, the location is a real plus, close to Bogor train station and the botanical garden. The room is basic and simple. There wasn't a sink in the bathroom or hot water for the shower, but given the price, it was still okay.

The room was clean and spacious. If you're bringing family, one room can fit six people with an extra mattress. They don't offer extra services, but the location alone makes the price worthwhile.
