The family room for three was a big part of the appeal, at IDR 410k on a weekday, which felt very affordable compared with other hotels. Service was warm and homey, and yes, they leave afternoon snacks and even get your car cleaned by morning. The AC and hot water worked properly too. This isn’t the place for anyone after a modern, minimalist hotel. From the dim, hard-to-spot entrance it can feel like you’re walking into someone’s house, and at night it has a spooky feel. The room is simple and reminded me of my grandma’s house, as did the bathroom, but both were surprisingly clean and the room wasn’t dusty or damp. There’s also a lovely front yard in the morning. After two nights I got used to the atmosphere. It’s not my favorite style of room, so I’d call it about 4.5 stars, but the price and service make me happy to give it five. I recommend it for a family of three that isn’t too demanding.

The buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant was good, and the room service food tasted nice as well. They also bring out tea and afternoon snacks every day. Sheets, blankets, and towels were changed daily. Coming from Jakarta, I found the hotel quite cheap and cozy. I’d stay here again if I return to Boyolali.

The location was perfect, and the room was decent. The bed was neat and clean. The bathroom was a little small but convenient, with hot water. There was coffee and tea in the room, and breakfast was fine.

The shower had strong pressure and hot water, and breakfast tasted good. My room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was good. It’s on Merapi street, and I recommend staying here.
