Daun Lebar Villas

The natural setting is lovely, with greenery all around, but the number of insects, lizards, and frogs caused problems. They were often nearby and sometimes got into the room, which made us uncomfortable using the private pool. We had planned a floating breakfast there but changed our minds because the pool didn’t seem very clean or up to standard. We worried frogs or insects might have gotten into it. The jacuzzi was also an unpleasant experience. As I filled it with hot water and opened the windows, I saw two frogs nearby. Then a large lizard fell into the hot water and died. It was shocking and made the whole thing uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn’t satisfying either. Since they operate two in-house hotels, we expected a buffet, but it was only a set menu. The choices and presentation didn’t feel well thought out. The natural surroundings are beautiful, but cleanliness, maintenance, and dining need improvement for a more comfortable stay.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and they made sure we were comfortable throughout. It felt warm and welcoming, not just formal politeness. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything needed for a relaxed stay, though nothing over the top. The spa was good for unwinding after a long day, and the place is quite economical for what you get. Simple, comfortable, and great people. I’d stay at Daun Lebar Villas again.

The villa was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with a well-designed, convenient kitchen area. The swimming pool was excellent, too. Lush greenery surrounds the hotel and gives the whole place a refreshing, peaceful feel. A wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a scenic, relaxing getaway.

The atmosphere is peaceful, but the experience was only satisfactory for us. Food choices are difficult if you’re vegetarian, service is very slow, and the kitchen and restaurant staff didn’t seem willing to listen to our preferences. They provided just 1 water bottle and no coffee creamer, which felt like basic things to start with. The property is very remote, so once you’re there, you can’t go out on your own. Luckily, we had booked a vehicle ahead of time and didn’t have many issues. We had a complimentary floating breakfast included, but there were so many insects around that we didn’t feel like eating in the pool. The villas are probably in the middle of farmlands, so you should expect mosquitoes and insects. The romantic dinner wasn’t romantic at all, with three couples seated right next to each other. Food choices were very limited and the decor minimal, so it felt like only a small step up from a usual dinner.
