The owner and staff were lovely and helpful. When I got sick one day, they went to the pharmacy and brought back medicine for me. We had a double room with a balcony. You don’t really see the river from it, but the view is still nice. The bed was comfy, the wifi good, and the large bathroom was clean and had a hot shower.

We had a lovely time exploring this area, and were lucky enough to take another trek to see the Rafflesia flower. The trekking tour arranged by the hotel was unforgettable, well organized, and led by an amazing guide who shared local knowledge. The penthouse rooms were comfortable. From the penthouse you can also keep climbing upstairs to reach neighbours restaurant on hills. Highly recommend.

They made our honeymoon room feel extra special, and the jungle trek we did with them gave us a memory we’ll carry for life. Beautiful place and people. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend.

Hotel Orangutan has large rooms and comfortable beds, with lovely views of the National park around it. The spot is just off the main street, so it’s quiet but still an easy walk to the Warungs and bars. We had a wonderful stay.

The room was beautiful, with a private balcony and great views. There’s even a fan out there, which made it comfortable to sit outside during the hottest part of the day. The cold shower felt great after the heat in Bukit Lawang. Good location and wifi too. Loved staying here, and the staff were friendly.
