Santi Mandala Villa & Spa

We were about 25 minutes from both Ubud and Denpasar, in a peaceful setting beside the river and lush landscape. It felt wonderfully secluded, and this place is a real hidden gem in Batuan, Sukawati. Our villa was beautifully furnished, and the private pool upgrade was well worth it. The dinner was excellent, especially the Balinese duck. Breakfast came as a small, thoughtfully chosen buffet with plenty of quality and variety. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive throughout, making everything feel seamless and comfortable. We would certainly return.

The two-bedroom place at Shanti Mandala had a private pool, spacious rooms, a huge open living and dining area, and a large kitchen. The bathroom was also very roomy and came with a tub. Room service was very good, the people were courteous, and the ambience felt safe and pleasant. What more could you want when touring or vacationing in a foreign land?

The main drawback is the location. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, and getting a Grab to Ubud for a meal can take up to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Still, our stay at Santi Mandala was really nice. The rooms were spacious, we loved the outdoor shower and bathroom, and the friendly staff were very helpful. The pool was lovely for relaxing, though there are only a limited number of beds. Luckily, we managed to get one each time we went. I'd definitely recommend it if you're visiting Ubud and want a peaceful few days away from the busier parts of the island.

Waking up to sunrise over the trees was breathtaking. The spacious, clean villas have a lovely Balinese touch, and the staff were always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help. With lush greenery and a waterfall nearby, the place feels like a secluded paradise. It's so peaceful here, a beautiful retreat to relax, recharge, and take in the natural surroundings. A memorable, calming stay, highly recommended.
