Everything was sorted for us, so we just had to arrive and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff, service, food, and location were all perfect. The rooms and restaurant look out over the open-air river setting, which made the stay really relaxing. Thank you to everyone @ Sam’s

After four days in the jungle, that great hot shower was much appreciated. Our room at Sam's was spacious and clean, with a nice-view balcony, and all the staff were super friendly. The food was great too. We tried a few things, but the chicken rendang was the standout, really delicious. I’d recommend staying here in Bukit Lawang, or even stopping by just to eat if you’re nearby.

We loved the location at the end of the village, even though it meant a 10-15 minute walk or a short scooter ride from the parking area. There was less scooter traffic outside, and the river water was clean enough for swimming, though you need to be careful of the current. Sam and his team were friendly and efficient throughout, arranging airport transfers and treks. Our comfortable room had a great river view from the balcony, and some rooms have air conditioning, which was nice to have. The orangutan trek went really well, and rafting back down the river was fun. We also enjoyed a separate rafting trip to the next village.

Our clean, comfy room had a cute balcony and hammock where we could relax. The staff were super friendly, and they arranged transport both ways for us with great drivers. Breakfast was free and right by the river, where it was so cool to watch monkeys while eating. We loved staying at Sam’s Bungalows, with its laid-back Bukit Lawang vibe. Definitely recommend this relaxed riverfront spot!

Rama and all his colleagues made our stay wonderful, and even arranged an amazing bike ride and a jungle hike where we saw orangutans and much more. Many thanks to them!
