Ketut and his family are local to Penida, and the hospitality felt genuine and warm. His place is tucked a short walk from the main drag. Coco and Bobo, his dogs, greeted us every day, and breakfast came with fresh juice made from their trees. We had a wonderful stay at Pudak Nature Bungalow and would definitely return.

We spent most of our first Penida visit diving, and the dive shops were about a 10-minute walk away. We often ate at Holy Penida or Mambo Beach Hotel. Ketut, the owner, was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. He even arranged an earlier breakfast when our dive schedule called for it. We’d stay here again if we return. Thank you!

Loved our stay. The rooms were really nice, with a lovely mix of comfort and nature, and the breakfast was amazingggg. Such a wonderful host, they sorted everything we asked for.

The room was nice for the price and had an outdoor shower. Breakfast was about 7/10. The linens were stained and the blanket was mouldy 🤢.

The hosts were welcoming, and the location is convenient for lots of restaurants and different marts. Crystal Bay is around a 20-30 minute scooter ride away. We stayed five nights. The breakfast food included wasn’t very good, and the bed was comfortable enough but nothing special. The open-air bathroom was awkward in the rain. Water dripped from the roof and splashed us while we were trying to use the toilet. It might have helped if the roof extended half a meter farther beyond the walls. I don’t want to leave a bad review, but I wanted to be honest about both the good and the not-so-good.
