They canceled my booking at 4 p.m., just before check-in, claiming there was damage, though the room had already been given to someone else. I’d booked a week ahead. When I contacted them, there was no apology. They said the money was still tied up in the app and that they’d have gotten it back if I canceled. I hadn’t even asked about the price, and the listed price can’t be trusted. MANTARI GUESTHOUSE was luckily available, and it was much nicer with first-rate service. Galliano Homestay is the worst place I’ve ever stayed, and I don’t trust it.

The water tank runs dry a lot, and you have to ask them to turn on the water heater. There’s also a curfew that limits going out at night. I didn’t like staying here, and I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists.

It was dark on the road to the guest house at night, even though the location is fairly close to the main road. Inside, the room felt cramped and stuffy, and the water heater made so much noise that it disturbed my sleep.

Looking out at the rice fields and mountains was lovely, and the room was clean, nice, and well equipped. The hot water wasn’t hot, though. The automatic pump was also quite loud, which was disruptive when someone showered in the middle of the night.
