The rooms are simple and practical, with small balconies where you can dry clothes. I enjoyed staying here, and the staff were helpful and gave me useful information. You can hear the mosque quite loudly, as others have mentioned, but that comes with staying in this handy central area.

You’re right in central Bukittinggi, very close to Jam Gadang (The Big Clock), the town’s landmark. The owner and staff were kind and polite, and they were happy to share information and help visitors sincerely. It’s an inexpensive place, so you can keep money for other expenses. The room was clean enough, and some rooms have hot water, which is a nice plus for a low budget hotel. Just keep in mind that this is a budget hotel, not a five star one, so don’t expect five star facilities.

The staff are young, relaxed, friendly and helpful. They know when a Raflesia (biggest flower in the world) is blooming, and they also rent out light motorbikes. The hotel itself is fine and not expensive, though breakfast is very meager. The mosque calls are extremely loud, including early in the morning while people are still trying to sleep. It may be okay for Muslim people, but I wouldn’t recommend it to Western tourists.

A double room starts at 120K and comes with a balcony and a nice view. It’s clean, and the staff are lovely. Breakfast is included. You can request an omelet or local breakfast, otherwise they’ll just bring toast ;-)

I came to Bukittinggi on my own without knowing much about the area, and choosing this hotel worked out really well. Michael was incredibly helpful, shared all the inside information, found me an amazing tour guide, and helped sort out a transport problem. The service went way beyond what I expected. Thanks for an incredible stay!!!
