The owner is really friendly, and you can walk to the clock tower since it’s very close. I was unsure about staying at Mama's homestay at first, but it turned out to be comfortable. The room was spacious, and we booked a double bed with two wide beds. The bathroom is shared and very near the room. There’s free Wi-Fi, plus a water dispenser and glasses. We also got two mountain views at once. If you’re going to Bukit Tinggi, give it a try.

Homestay Mama is only a five-minute walk from the Clock Tower, and the rooms are reasonably priced. I found the place comfortable, with clean rooms, a clean bathroom, and hot water. It’s fully equipped and has views of Mount Merapi. I’d definitely stay there again if I return to Bukittinggi.
