Wi-Fi barely reached my room, and the best signal was only in the lobby. The TV, furniture, and bathroom were old, though the furniture was clean. Breakfast was provided, but there wasn't much choice. On the plus side, my room was fresh and clean, with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and free soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. They also provided an Al quran and sajadah, with the Qiblah direction marked on the ceiling. The surroundings were quiet, and the garden landscaping was nice. Masjid, restaurants, and Pasar Atas are within walking distance. Bukittinggi has cool weather. I never sweated, even walking around for 15 minutes. If it's your first time here, buy cloth or textiles at Pasar Atas, where prices are cheaper than at other places and there are more choices. A horse riding rickshaw from Pasar Atas to this hotel costs IDR 40000 per rickshaw. There are also a supermarket and KFC near Pasar Atas. You don't need to buy a telco sim card for data in Bukittinggi and Padang, since the signal reception here is very bad. I just used the hotel Wi-Fi for Internet.
