Bali Dream House

The staff are absolutely lovely and bring food and drinks to the pool or to the little verandas attached to each villa. Each villa sits on the edge of a hill, with steps down to a lovely infinity pool by the ocean. It’s surrounded by lush vegetation and beach umbrellas.

The reef is beautiful for snorkeling, especially in the afternoon, though bring reef shoes because there are very big pebbles. We saw dolphins in the morning, and the sunrise is spectacular. It’s right on the beach. You can get laundry done for 22k per kilo and rent a scooter for 70k a day. Spotlessly clean, with lovely gardens and pool, and really lovely staff. Breakfast was delicious, you can order whenever you like and have it served anywhere. This boutique hotel is just perfect in every way. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The garden at Bali Dream House is lovely, and the pool is a good size. They lend out pool towels and snorkeling gear, too. At high tide you can snorkel right in front of the hotel, though I wouldn't try it at low tide because the reef could hurt you. The place itself was great: spacious and very clean, with wonderfully hospitable staff who'll do anything for you. Lunch took a surprisingly long time for a few simple dishes, and there isn't much to do at night. The roads aren't well lit, and the nearest Mini Mart is about a 10-15 minute walk.

Dayu at reception was always smiling and helpful, and everyone else on staff was lovely too. They arranged a good scooter for us, and their flexible, welcoming service made a real impression. We spent five nights in a seafront villa facing the pool and beach. The garden was well kept, and we especially liked the little roofed daybeds looking out to sea, where we could relax in the shade. The room was roomy and comfortable, with bamboo furniture and a basic, bohemian feel. Everything worked, though it was a bit damp inside, probably because it was rainy season and nothing dried properly. Snorkeling from the beach was good, with more colorful fish than expected. Other guests had seen turtles, but we missed them. Breakfast was simple but good, and could be ordered later in the afternoon and brought to the room or pool. We chose this place after reading the reviews and were glad we did. Hope to come back someday.
