The beach is right there, the restaurant food was good, and the pool looked nice enough, though I’d take the ocean over any pool. The villa rooms are spacious, with well-done semi-open-air bathrooms and a porch out front. Staff were friendly, and I recommend the place. A few details weren’t ideal for me. Some villas are near the road, so you hear cars and scooters instead of ocean waves. The outlets are awkward: there’s one in the bathroom, and in the bedroom you have to unplug the fridge to use the outlet, since the one behind the heavy beds is hard to reach. Even a 1.5m extension cord couldn’t reach the nightstand. An employee went out of his way to find us a multi-outlet extension, so we could keep the fridge on and charge several things on top of it. The pretty curtains don’t block much light, either. And though the room is large, there isn’t a good spot for a backpack or suitcase. I don’t like unpacking everything onto the three closet shelves, and living out of the floor isn’t great. Despite those things, we enjoyed our stay and I do recommend it.

The reef is right in front of the bungalow and was wonderful to explore. This was the best stay along the beach for me, with an amazing breakfast and great staff. A wonderful place 🙏

The garden was magnificent, with a view of both the sea and the high hills behind it. I loved the snorkeling in the bay. Each day I swam there with a mask and saw turtles, plus a beautiful coral reef full of sea life. The staff were friendly but never intrusive, and everything was perfectly clean. There was no mold, which mattered a lot to me. A perfect place to relax in Amed, and I’ll come back as soon as I can. Thank you!

The food was brilliant, and we had a great time snorkeling with turtles and sailing. Those sunrises were epic, too. The rooms have a nice, typically Balinese feel, with the usual maintenance needs, which we didn't mind. Liam runs the place and is about as laid-back as a manager can get. We loved chatting with him over breakfast and hearing about the area. Friendly, relaxed, and cool. We’d go back.

The shore snorkeling was a real plus, and we were lucky enough to see turtles. The beach itself is beautiful, though the vendors offering gear and massages were very pushy, and their prices were much higher than places only a few minutes away. We had hoped for a peaceful beach break, but the noise made it hard to sleep. Dogs barked through the night, roosters started around 3 AM, and when we told the staff, they said the dogs were probably drunk. The bedding was stained, too, despite how striking the villas look. Amed and Coral View have potential, but both could use some care. The roads were in poor shape, and we didn't feel especially welcome from some locals. We ended up leaving early for Ubud so we could get proper sleep.
