Sari made this stay special. She had drinks in the fridge, could prepare lunch or dinner when we wanted, and was always cheerful and ready to help. Her seafood dinner with local fish, prawns and calamari was a highlight, and she also does laundry for a small fee. Everyone we met was friendly, and we hated having to leave. The villa was spotless, with daily cleaning, and Sari made breakfast each morning at the time that worked for us. Her pancakes were amazing. There are three double bedrooms, one upstairs and two downstairs. The downstairs rooms are huge, each with a double bed and two singles. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and enough storage. The air conditioning is strong, which you really need in the heat, and there were plenty of shower and pool towels. The dining and living areas are large, with wide views. Steps lead to a garden and a big, warm pool. You can also reach the sea by steps, though it was rough most days, so we preferred the beach at Aquamarine, a four-minute walk downhill by the spa. It’s a great place for a quiet, relaxing week. We took a day trip to Ubud, joined a Balinese cooking class with lunch, had massages, and went snorkelling and on a sunset cruise. There’s a lovely underwater temple, loads of fish and sea turtles, and the water stayed bath-warm even at sunset. A supermarket with an ATM is a couple of minutes away by car, and Sari can arrange transport. A few doors down, we found a lovely Italian restaurant with plenty of tasty choices. We ate there one night and got takeaway another.

Sari greeted us when we arrived and was wonderful. She cooked delicious meals, arranged all our activities, and stayed flexible with a big smile. We really appreciated that. The villa is gorgeous for a weekend away and comfortably fits ten people, with three bedrooms and three beds that sleep two each. The pool looks out to sea, and there’s a spacious open living and dining area, a kitchen, and four bathrooms. A couple of the bathrooms smelled a bit from the drains at times, though that seems pretty common in Bali. They can also serve a full menu onsite if you ask, which was really convenient. Wayan/Dirta handled our booking. We only met him once; he wasn’t especially warm in person, but his communication before check-in was clear and quick. Thanks for the hospitality, we’d love to return someday.

It’s a little secluded, which made it so relaxing. The restaurant Trattoria next door is excellent, and I’d happily come back anytime. The three-bedroom villa has extra beds for kids and room for a big group, plus a great pool and a gorgeous 270-degree ocean view. Sari, who’s in charge, can arrange whatever you need.

Amed gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for, away from Bali’s busy tourist areas and the vendors who can be hard to avoid there. The villas are gorgeous, the view is incredible, and our stay was just perfect. From the property you can snorkel or dive, or simply watch the fishing boats head out in the morning and come back in the afternoon. I got to tour a few of the villas during my stay and was amazed by how wonderful they are. Highly recommend staying here.

A great choice for a family or group holiday. Sari’s food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and the location worked well for us. Most of the owners’ recommendations were good, though I’d do a bit of your own research if you’re looking for a diving school. The amazing Italian restaurant, trattoria, is an easy walk away if you fancy a change from the equally amazing local food.
