The room was spacious and lovely, and the pool was a great place to cool off in Bali’s hot, dry northeast. The setting is quiet, with ocean views and friendly locals, though it’s a bit remote from Amed. At around $60 a night, it felt like good value for a peaceful, authentic local stay. Staff were friendly and attentive. There were local celebrations during our visit, which might explain why the place sometimes seemed nearly empty. The only small letdown was the food. With so few guests, the restaurant had a skeleton crew, and the Western-style dishes were pretty ordinary. Still, we had a pleasant stay.

We loved the house, the garden, and the lovely view from this very quiet area. The staff were friendly, but the manager made us feel unwelcome. When a small issue came up, she handled it in a very unprofessional way, which was a big minus. It’s also too far from Amed if you don’t ride a scooter.

Getting around takes a scooter or a driver since the villa is quite remote, but that also made it peaceful and paradise-like. We loved drifting off to the sound of the waves, and our room was really clean. The restaurant food was delicious, and the women there welcomed us so warmly that we felt like family. I went snorkeling with Made, whom the women recommended. He showed me several beautiful spots, covered the basics of freediving, and shared how much he knows and cares about the ocean. His service felt special, and the trip was unforgettable. Thanks for everything.

It’s a long way from town, so you need a bike. I don’t ride one, but I enjoyed how quiet it was. The garden looked lovely, and the ladies were always busy keeping it tidy. They arranged a taxi for me, which I appreciated. I also booked a private snorkel trip with a local using a number they gave me, and really enjoyed it. Everyone was so welcoming from the start, even helping with my bags and showing me to my room. The room was clean apart from a few tiny ants, and the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net. Breakfast was very good, and they always asked how I was and how my day had gone. The pool looked relaxing too. I’d highly recommend staying here.
