Balisanti Bungalows

I stayed five nights in the king suite oceanview, room 11, with a plunge pool. For me, this is a 3 star accommodation. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The gardens are lush, and relaxing music usually plays during the day. The oceanside restaurant has pretty views and a nice coastal breeze. I trusted the food and ice, and the drinks were good. The bed was firm and comfortable, and breakfast included a lovely fruit platter. There’s also a water dispenser in the room. I used the transport service; the driver was friendly, flexible and reliable. A few useful things: you can’t flush toilet paper, and the food is basic, so I preferred eating out for dinner. People are always trying to get you to spend more. The wardrobe is too short to hang dresses properly, so you have to fold them. Wifi was poor and inconsistent at times. I skipped a massage because the hygiene didn’t meet my expectations, though my partner enjoyed their 30 minute vitalise massages. There were a lot of problems in the room. The aircon smelled musty and didn’t work well at low temperatures. Its LED stayed bright at night and made it hard to sleep. Water dripped from the aircon onto the pillows, which then smelled musty, and there were no pillow protectors under the cases. The sheets were stained. No face cloths or hand towels were provided, and cleaning was superficial. There were spider nests in the curtains. The plunge pool wasn’t clean or clear, with lots of debris. Shower pressure varied from good to a dribble. There was nowhere to put suitcases, so one of the couches had to do. Early morning fires made the room smoky and stinky, and it was opposite the smokers’ area. Maintenance was poor too. The door needed repair when I arrived, then the aircon stopped working, followed by the fan. The outdoor and pool lights didn’t work, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and the bathroom lights flickered. The bathroom also had seriously funky smells.
