The grounds are lovely, with impressive trees and cottages, and the location is good. But the room was very dark because some of the lights didn’t work, and the sheets were old and stained. There were stains on the walls too. The pool was dirty. There was a ring around the top tiles that came off when scrubbed, and plenty of debris in the water that didn’t seem to get cleaned every day. The AC never cooled the room. When I raised it, staff said this room type came with a less powerful unit, but I hadn’t seen that information anywhere. They offered no fix or chance to pay extra for a cooler room, even though all the other rooms were empty. My local daughter was sweating while she slept.

The staff were so helpful, and we ate really well here. Breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant food was delicious. We spent 8 days and had an amazing time. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They’re an older style, but worked perfectly for us. Thank you.

We booked three rooms, a villa and two resort rooms. The villa has a lovely layout, plenty of space, a nice view over the lake, and a particularly nice outdoor bathroom. There was quite a bit of damp, though, and after a few days our clothes smelled mouldy. Road noise was also more noticeable in the villa, with sound carrying across the lake. The resort is well placed in Candidasa, with access to the main road and a small stretch of beach. The staff were lovely, and I highly recommend the resort. If you stay in the villa, keep the AC running to help with the moisture.

I’ve stayed here once a year for the past 3 years, and each visit has been just as good. The place is beautiful, and the staff are always welcoming, helpful, and accommodating 👏❤️
