The Calmtree Bungalows

We had to book somewhere else right away, and we never got our money back. Our stay at The Calmtree Bungalows was terrible. The place was dirty, with bugs and geckos around, some making noises at night. There was no hot water in the shower, and the food seemed unsanitary. I strongly advise against staying here. It didn’t feel safe, clean, or comfortable.

Small, quaint, quiet, and central, with the best staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I liked staying somewhere more traditional when so many new modern hotels are appearing, and this place still had all the modern comforts. The outdoor bathroom was fab, partly covered, too.

The bungalow was lovely, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Taking a shower outside in the wind and rain was a new one for me. I really enjoyed my stay.

For just two nights, the location and friendly service made this a good family stay. We were four, two adults and two kids, in a Family bungalow at The Calm Tree Bungalows, close to shops and restaurants. The warm pool was lovely, and reception were very helpful. Cleaning was decent. Breakfast was fine, though nothing special. The bungalow felt quite dark inside. There aren’t proper windows, only shutters, so opening them meant letting mosquitoes in, while closing them left very little light. Our girls didn’t feel comfortable sleeping upstairs in the two single beds because it was so dark, so all four of us slept downstairs. The toilet was okay. I’d choose somewhere else for a longer holiday, since the limited natural light would get gloomy.
