Sugita Wooden House

Komang and his wife were always happy to help with anything, and did it with huge smiles. Such a helpful, friendly couple. I stayed three nights in this lovely, homely place close to nature. It didn’t feel like touristy Bali.

The host was quick to respond whenever we had a question or concern, and his welcoming wife made the stay feel personal and homey. The wooden house was cozy, with a lovely scenic view. It’s about a half-hour drive to the city, so the location is a bit remote, but the peace and privacy were worth it. A delightful, memorable stay.

The owners are incredibly lovely, accommodating people with hearts of gold. Komang spoke English very well, made me feel safe and looked after as a solo female traveler, and was available to drive me wherever I needed. He also offered full-day tour transport and recommended attractions. Thank you, Komang and Kardek, for hosting me in your paradise wooden house. I’ll recommend it to everyone I know. The cabin is fresh and newly built, set in a beautiful garden oasis with rolling garden hills and coconut palms. Opening the sliding doors to see the sunrise was a highlight. The room is spacious, the king bed is comfortable, and the air conditioning is great. If you want a natural cabin feel and a tranquil vibe, I highly recommend it. It’s only 30 minutes from Ubud, and I was so glad to have somewhere to relax after busy tourist areas.

The host and his family are super friendly. I loved sitting on the terrace and looking out over the garden, which feels like a jungle. The cottage is roomy and cozy, with air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. One of my favorite places to stay in Bali.
