Triyana Resort and Glamping

The staff were super nice, and laundry was only a few dollars for a big bag of clothes. But this stay wasn't really for me. My wife liked the experience, while as a city person on vacation I didn't enjoy it as much. It's very remote, so you'll need a driver. Without one waiting each day, the trip to Ubud and back costs $15 usd each way. The AC couldn't keep up in the daytime, so the tent got hot. The bathrooms are outside, and neighbors can wave while you're in the tub. Going out at 2am to pee and then from AC into 80f heat made it hard to get back to sleep. Maybe try it if that kind of stay appeals to you.

So relaxing and highly enjoyable. The glamping tent was amazing, with a private pool looking out over rice fields, and the bathroom was great. The staff were incredibly accommodating.

Rian, the driver the hotel arranged for us, was very helpful and patient, and the staff were excellent. Our room was great too. There are lots of steps, though, which is a downside when you're carrying a lot of baggage. The forest setting and surroundings are lovely if you want to put your feet up and relax. Getting to Ubud takes a long drive, and there aren't many Grab drivers around.

We loved the welcoming staff and the excellent breakfast. The villa has a relaxing atmosphere, and our room's unusual, thoughtful design added something special. The private pool was immaculate and an ideal place to unwind. Being near the paddy fields gives it a traditional village feel. We did see some frogs, but it wasn't a big issue and added to the setting. It's a bit remote. The one thing to improve would be cleaning the outside of the dome, where dirt and algae had built up. That small detail didn't spoil our stay, and we look forward to coming back.
