The rooms are fairly spacious, the view is nice, and the food is okay. There’s potential here for both events and leisure, and it’s conveniently close to Jakarta. But the stay itself was disappointing. We noticed a trash smell as soon as we got out of the car, and the room didn’t feel fresh or clean. There was hair on the bedsheets, so I wondered if they’d been changed, and the bathroom floor was flooded. Even the basics were a hassle: the AC remote had no batteries and the TV remote’s batteries were dead. When I complained, the housekeeping staff member who came across as unfriendly and seemed to doubt that guests knew how to use a remote. He brought only one set of batteries, although I’d clearly said we needed two. The noise was a bigger problem still. From the third floor, I could hear people walking below, and footsteps in the hall were very clear. Rooms near the field or hall get extremely loud during events. The balcony door is a louvered style that looks like a window rather than a solid door, so outside noise comes right in. There’s no soundproofing like you’d expect at a typical hotel. With all that, it didn’t feel worth the price. I wouldn’t choose it for a quiet break from the city. If you’re putting on an event and don’t care much about sleep or comfort, it might suit you.
