Svaha Private Villas Ceningan

Svaha Private Villas is a lovely place, though it could use some maintenance. Our room was clean and nice when we arrived, and they welcomed us with fresh juice. Wayam and the staff were helpful and attentive by message before we got there, and they picked us up and dropped us off at the yellow bridge. We really enjoyed the stay.

The family running this place are really nice and gave us useful tips on what to do around the island and where to book. They also picked us up and dropped us at the yellow bridge for free, and let us refill our bottles from their water dispenser. Our rented scooter was in very good condition, the location was good, and the small pool was nice. The room was clean and the bed firm. In the bathroom, some shelves would help, and the toilet water pump was especially noisy in the villa at the back. The air-con also dripped onto our bed.

We booked all three villas, so we had the place and our own little courtyard to ourselves. The view is now blocked by another property built in front, but that also gave us more privacy. We spent the days seeing views elsewhere around the island, and it was nice to come back to a quiet spot. Riza made nasi goreng or mie goreng each morning with fresh watermelon juice, just what we wanted. I don't come to Indo for an American breakfast. This was our third stay at Svaha Private Villas, and we loved it again. Wayan and Riza are such lovely hosts, and it feels like staying with family. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a fantastic bed. Wayan went out of his way to help us, arranged scooters, and sorted out transport for our dinner in Lembongan so we could have a few drinks without worrying about getting back. Thanks, Wayan and Riza. We loved every minute and can't wait to see you next year.

We paid 40 USD a night, and I don't think the price is fair for what you get now. The photos on Airbnb/Google/Agoda should match the actual place, but they really didn't. Furniture had changed or become old, the beanbag was moldy, and there was no view from the pool. The wall by the pool had to be closed, but the pictures hadn't been updated. The bathroom has no cover, so rain comes in, and the breakfast wasn't like what the photos promised. Wayan and his wife were very friendly and understood when we wanted to leave, which was nice. We had mainly booked for the pool view and the great breakfast.
