Such a peaceful, beautiful place, away from the tourists but still easy to get into town. The host and his wife were wonderful, the room was cleaned every day, and the food was just as good. Honestly, the best place on the island. Thank you so much ❤️

I had a lovely three-day stay. The family were adorable, there was a swimming pool to use, and you could eat at their restaurant. The only issue was the road, which was in very poor condition and much steeper than I expected. Riding a scooter there for the first time was scary. If you're not confident riding one, or don't know how, I wouldn't recommend it.

I loved it so much I booked the place more than once during my week on the island. The bungalows are lovely, the views are amazing, and it's wonderfully quiet. The owners' family is so kind and works hard to keep everything tidy and make guests happy 🖤 Great value too. Just be ready to use a scooter for the uphill ride.

For a peaceful, out-of-the-way stay on the Nusas, I'd recommend this family-run place. The cabins are solidly built and nicely tucked away, with a pleasant sea view and a small pool that's kept in good shape. The hosts were helpful and kind, and there was an unbelievably cute puppy around. You can rent a bike there at a fair price, too. It's up at the end of a rough road, so getting a moped up takes some nerve and practice, though it's doable. The bathroom was the main drawback for me: cold shower, and water from the wet room ran toward the sink and toilet instead of the drain, leaving the floor flooded. The mattress felt a little firm for my taste, but I managed fine for three nights. If you're taking a taxi to or from the yellow bridge when arriving or leaving Tatak, expect 150,000 IDR each way. Roosters start up at dawn, as they seem to everywhere in ritual Indonesia. The place is cozy and reasonably priced.
