Go straight to the inn or check with the owner before booking. I learned the hard way that the owner had stopped working with Oyo long ago and no longer takes online bookings. I booked through Oyo, then called the number on the confirmation email. They said there was an error and told me to reserve through WhatsApp at twice the price. After I transferred the money, they asked for another IDR 250,000 as a deposit and a photo of my ID card. That made me suspicious, so I refused. I went to the inn in person and found out what the owner had told me. I later messaged that number to request a refund, but got nowhere. Don't do what I did 🙏🏼
