Sari Ater Hotel & Resort

The hot spring pool was relaxing and the main highlight for me. Our Junior Suite bungalow, on the other hand, felt very old. The bed and sheets were clean and okay, but the sofa and interior looked worn and badly dated, as if nothing had been refreshed in a long time. Breakfast was generally fine, though it was unpleasant to see another guest pick up pancakes with bare hands. The breakfast area could be managed better, and the bungalow interior needs an update.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a good breakfast selection and Asian and Western options for lunch and dinner. We also had access to the private hot spring pools beside the restaurant. The staff were friendly and provided great service. They connected us with a driver who took us to the volcano and then to our bus in the early hours. Lovely hotel, would recommend.

The hot springs themselves are nice, and we came hoping to enjoy them, but this was a difficult place for us as foreign visitors. I couldn't understand how things were run. At check-in, the reception staff said they couldn't speak English and mostly responded with “Hmm”; they didn't give even basic information. The accommodation and the building where breakfast is served are in different places, but nobody explained that. The hotel has lots of lots, and that wasn't explained either. I felt ignored, even when I asked in English for extra towels and they couldn't understand me. Breakfast was simple. The surroundings are good, but it's pathetic that management doesn't make proper use of them.

A great spot for hot springs in Subang. I loved the cool air and clean water.
