Ibis Styles Cikarang

What stood out most to me was the price, around IDR 200,000++, which is affordable for the area. I stayed at Ibis Styles Cikarang over a long weekend to visit nearby brand outlets. It's in an industrial area, which makes sense for the location, though there isn't much of a local bustle. The room was clean and comfortable, much like what I'd expect from an Ibis, and I was pleased to get an upgrade to one with a balcony. Having a water dispenser was another nice plus. The first impression was mixed: the building seemed a bit old and the lobby felt gloomy. The pool and gym were basic and small. I also noticed a persistent smoke smell in the second-floor hallway, though I couldn't tell if that was a designated smoking floor. It was off-putting to walk through. Some updates could help the hotel compete better with independent options nearby.

The first night was awful: a little cockroach suddenly crawled out from my bed. The air conditioning wasn't cold at all, even after an engineer came to check it. There wasn't anything nearby either.

Our first room was too hot, the corner glass or panoramic room, and it didn't work for us. The staff provided very good service and moved us to another, better room, which we appreciated. The food was good too. The hotel was okay overall, and I'd recommend it for families.

The pool deck is decaying and uneven, so it could be dangerous for kids, and the ceilings in the rooms and corridors need repair because they don't look good. Those are areas the property could improve. Cleanliness was good, and the night Reception staff were nice. Mr. Teguh listened with empathy when we shared our comments at breakfast. We're two travelers on a motorcycle trip between cities and needed a proper rest. A small issue meant we had to change rooms, but the hotel acted quickly, and we slept comfortably. At 9:20 breakfast, a polite and pleasant female restaurant staff member took care of us. Food or drinks that run out should be replenished promptly while breakfast is still open.
