OYO 91955 Pondokan Cempaka

Getting there takes you off the main road at an intersection, and the route to the boarding house is quite long and poorly lit. Be careful coming back at night. It's still about 15 minutes from the property to the city. The bathroom is tiny, and the AC doesn't cool well. There was no TV. At check-in, they asked us to pay extra, saying the nightly rate was 200-250 and online bookings below that needed a top-up. We were worn out from traveling out of town and didn't want to keep arguing, so we paid.

Very disappointing. I booked through OYO at one price, but at check-in they charged the hotel rate instead, even though the confirmation email showed the app price. They said it was because I arrived at night, but nobody had told me that night arrivals wouldn't get the app price...

This was room 13, and apparently other rooms have different amenities even though they cost the same. The toilet was only 1m x 1m, like a public restroom, and even a gas station toilet would be better. There are plenty of better places for the same price. Just a lesson for anyone looking for accommodation: check it out first.

A bit of cleaning above the bed would help, since there was a spider web there. The room could use some improvement to make it a more comfortable place to rest.
