I found this place through Agoda and felt misled by its 8.8 rating. Does Agoda evaluate every property? The listing also showed 8.7, which is hard to believe given the state of things. Agoda said the room was managed by red doorz, but it didn't seem to meet the requirements. They called it a Syariah hotel, yet the place was dirty and there was a dog in the yard. The room smelled moldy, the toilet stank, the AC kept switching off about every 15 minutes, and there were loads of mosquitoes. The sheet and blanket were dusty and unclean, and the pool hadn't been cleaned. It felt like a workers' warehouse mess or someone else's neglected backyard. The shared room and yard were also filthy, with rubbish, leftover food and drinks, cigarettes, and leaves everywhere. The upstairs room had a staircase that didn't seem safe. Its toilet wouldn't flush and was so dirty I couldn't even take a picture of it. Another guest had arrived with kids and booked two rooms for two nights, but they left for another hotel after just one night because of the conditions. The property has potential, with a yard and pool, but it seemed almost abandoned, maybe mismanaged. I don't know. I paid almost the same as I would for a three-star hotel in Cirebon, perhaps because it was high season.
