The staff were lovely, and getting around the resort was easy thanks to the dedicated shuttle service. We also enjoyed the Pakis raja coffee cafe, the waterfall hike, shooting range and Kedai view area. Our executive room had a stunning design and view. There were some practical gaps: although the room had a microwave, there were no plates or bowls, so we had to ask for bowls through WhatsApp, the only contact option. There was no room safe either. The restaurant was just okay, though breakfast was good, and there was no kids' playground. You also need to bring your own towels to the pool. The steep hills and many stairs make the resort a tough choice for anyone with limited mobility or fitness. Our ATV ride was fun, but the vehicle was old and in poor condition. The safety setup seemed lacking, and I wouldn't bring small children along. The noise was the biggest problem. Sound insulation between rooms seemed nonexistent, and sounds from the neighboring couple were embarrassing to explain to my four-year-old. I turned up the TV to cover them. The following night, a party at Kedai view, more than 300 or 400 meters away, kept us awake until midnight despite closed doors, windows and curtains. The front desk kindly asked the organizers to turn down the speakers, but I could still hear the music and felt awkward asking again.

Getting a taxi or Grab from here can be difficult, so visitors may want to bring a personal driver. The view from the Cafe/Restaurant is lovely, and it's a nice spot to stop for coffee or a meal. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Getting to the resort takes some care, since the roads are narrow and difficult for large vehicles. Motorcycles are fine. Once there, the shuttle can take you wherever you need to go. Housekeeping and customer service were very helpful. The glamping rooms involve lots of stairs, so they aren't really suitable for guests with disabilities.

Traffic made this trip a real ordeal. The hotel is about 3-4 km from the main Puncak road along a narrow road that's less than two cars wide. We were told medium buses could make the trip, though it seems only Hiace or APV vehicles should use it. We spent hours stuck on the way in and out, and nobody from the hotel came to direct traffic. I wouldn't want to repeat that journey. The rooms themselves were excellent, huge and comfortable, with a good shower, hairdryer, amenities, microwave and sink. You can stay in your room or glamping and enjoy the view, and order room service, though I didn't try it. I couldn't see a wired phone or intercom to place an order. There are paid activities around the property, including trekking, archery and a shooting range. The steep hillside also makes reaching the rooms a workout. Even after the shuttle drop-off, there are stone stairs and hundreds of meters of footpath to walk. It's not suitable for wheelchairs, disabled guests or small children, especially those who need carrying or run around. Porters have to carry luggage by hand over their shoulders; they broke my Lojel luggage handle, and I still haven't received an apology or compensation. I do appreciate that the cleaning staff honestly returned my phone through a friend of mine.
