The Hobbit house was just what we’d hoped for, and we had no complaints about it. Check-in was quick and very friendly. We arrived early and were allowed to use the facilities until the 2 pm check-in time. I’d come back, but I wouldn’t book breakfast again. I’d eat outside the hotel instead. Breakfast was horrible. After 35 years as a caterer, I’ve never seen anything like it. The toaster was too small and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The food was cold and tasted very bad, and everyone rushed at it as if they hadn’t eaten before. The tables were filthy, there was no salt or pepper, and the table mats hadn’t been cleaned properly. I felt sorry for the staff, who were trying their best.

You can watch the sunrise and enjoy the beautiful views of the three mountains around this very spacious hotel in Cisarua. The Hobbit house is one of the newer room types at Seruni Hotel, and they put real thought into choosing decorations to suit its theme. There are several pools across the hotel areas. There’s also a waterpark, but it was still under construction when I visited.

It’s near the safari zoo, with lots for kids to do, including the water park and feeding rabbits and sheep. The room service wasn’t good, there was no cleaning service, and information around the hotel was lacking.
