It’s an ethnic-style room with an unfinished-building look. Some spots are a little dirty, but the place is aesthetic overall. It works well for a laid-back staycation without much to do: make coffee in the morning, cook your own food, or do yoga on the balcony overlooking the river. Check that you’re booking the right room, since kitchens aren’t available in every room.

This is my regular choice in Puncak. The room is clean and really comfortable, there’s parking for the car, and having a private pool is a must for me. It’s near the main road. Just note there’s no breakfast option and no lift.

The view is great, but the rooms get pretty hot in the afternoon because there’s no AC. Service was very poor, and the staff weren’t helpful. They wouldn’t bring drinking water to the room, so guests have to go downstairs to the front desk if they want some. Such a frustrating way to handle it.

The hot shower was great, and the bathroom had plenty of space. We only stayed the night, but the receptionist and the man who helped us park were both really polite. I’d recommend staying here.

The balcony room was brilliant, and breakfast was good enough, even if it was only fried rice. I wasn’t expecting much, but the room itself was quite good.
