The owner did refund my money after a long argument, which was the one good thing. But then I had to find another hotel at night with my wife and child. I was visiting with my 8-year-old, and the owner, an Irish expatriate, came to speak to me half dressed, in shorts, and said my child couldn’t stay in the same room. He said I had to book another room for my kid. The place felt dark and there wasn’t enough lighting. The entrance is narrow, and when I arrived the iron gate was shut, so I had to call for someone to open it. The location is the only good thing about this villa. Maybe it works for a couple wanting some time alone who doesn’t expect much service, but I’d avoid it with family or a group doing activities.

This is a large villa divided into several rooms by locking the connecting doors, so the rooms aren’t all the same. It has a vintage seaside feel and limited facilities. Some rooms have AC, while the others only have fans. The room amenities are just bath towels, bath soap, and hand soap. Children over 3 are charged IDR 250k for a mattress and an extra breakfast. Outside, there’s direct beach access, free gazebos, and a big lawn for group activities or just looking around. One thing to know is that the gates are only opened when guests arrive or leave, which can be inconvenient if you go out often. The elderly expatriate owner lives on the property. He apparently doesn’t tolerate excessive noise or disrespectful guests, though we found him nice and courteous.

I was unsure about staying here after seeing so many bad reviews, but we went ahead and it turned out to be freakin awesome. The beach and view were the big draw for me: great waves for casual surfing, a beautiful sunset, and golden light at sunrise. The room choice matters. The seaside room suits couples who like nature and want a different setting for a romantic night. It’s open, with a wide bed and open bathroom, but no TV or AC. That quiet setup was great for a long talk. The one downside in that room was the broken toilet button. For a family with up to two kids, the smaller Seascape room is probably a better fit. It has AC, and the toilet and shower were good, though there’s still no TV. Pick based on what you need. There is an extra charge of IDR 250k for each child over 2. I booked Seascape with AC for me, my wife, and our two kids. The room details mentioned the charge, and I think many negative comments came from people not reading that before booking. The fee includes an extra bed and breakfast, and the kids will be more comfortable with the extra bed. Breakfast is pretty standard, but the local-style noodles and Mie goreng were nicely seasoned, not too dry, and the milk tasted fresh. Security responded quickly when we checked in at 10pm. The owner is an expatriate, a good person, and the villa reflects his nature-loving, adventurous side. The quiet, natural setting is exactly why I’d recommend it, and yes, I’d come back. My kids liked it too. About those horror reviews on TikTok, come on, there’s nothing to be afraid of. What kind of ghost would dare bother you in Nyai Roro Kidul’s kingdom? Just kidding. No ghost, just peace and comfort. Hope this clears up some of the mixed reviews. Godspeed!

The best part was the view. We played on the beach and sat in the sand to watch the sunset, and my son loved every minute. We stayed for two days and one night, and the scenery really is magnificent. Our Seacoast Room had a garden view and a charming wooden look, surrounded by the beach and palm trees. It felt peaceful and natural. We arrived around 10 AM, but couldn’t check in early. Inside there was a king-size bed, no TV, and only a fan, so the room got a bit hot at night. There were lots of mosquitoes, though luckily we’d brought Soffell and Vape. The bedside lamp didn’t work, but we had an emergency lamp. The floor felt damp and sticky, so we should have brought sandals, and the toilet was hard to flush. Breakfast was just okay. I had fried rice and an omelette, but the flavor was so-so and the serving wasn’t very satisfying. This place has a lot of potential, and better cleanliness and maintenance would help. The view alone feels worth the price.

The beach at Sea Vibes Villas is stunning and private, with no crowds. It was lovely for photos, long talks by the shore, or a quiet walk along the sand. I also liked the rinse-off stations at each staircase down to the beach. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and nicely designed for couples. With the mosquito net in place, we didn’t have mosquitoes in the room, and the wide windows open for good airflow. Food was easy to sort out. You can order dinner through GoFood or use the menu from the villa’s partner restaurant, and local stalls including pecel lele are right outside. I wouldn’t recommend it for families, though, since each additional person costs Rp250,000, even a small child. A few things could be improved. Without AC, the bed, pillows, and covers tend to feel damp, so a linen spray or aromatherapy mist might help. Breakfast choices are limited, and some extra kitchen staff training could make them taste better. More outdoor lights, plus a bright main lamp in each room, especially the kitchen and shared areas, would help too. It would be nice to have coffee or tea guests can make themselves, even in the shared kitchen. Please replace the towels and use a more skin-friendly detergent. I had an allergic reaction over my whole body that lasted two days, likely from the detergent. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and tissues would also be useful, especially at weekend rates of Rp750,000. The toilet flush was leaking and kept the floor wet. I even had to use a dirty shirt to wipe it up. Clearer WhatsApp messages from the admin, with templates about extra charges, house rules, keeping toilets dry, and available facilities, would help set expectations and reduce negative reviews. Sea Vibes Villas has a peaceful, unusual experience for couples, and a few small improvements could make it better. Thanks for the hospitality.
