Herman Lantang Camp

You can get breakfast, order barbecue, and have grilled corn and a bonfire at night. The place itself is nice and the service is okay. The extra charges add up, though: since the camp is in the waterfall area, you pay separate entrance fees for each person and vehicle, then another fee to stay overnight. Parking costs extra too.

The glamping tent was roomy, with a toilet beside it and a semi-private space out front. It’s also set up for kids, with a small playground. We walked to three waterfalls, Nangka, Daun, and Kawung. The nearest was about 10 minutes away on foot, and reaching the last one took around 30 minutes. Getting there was easy too, with a Google Maps pin, a smooth road, and good signal. We spent two days and one night at Herman Lantang Camp with friends. The admin was very communicative when I first got in touch, even though I was new to the place. We ordered breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One friend liked the traditional Sundanese food so much she wanted to know the recipe. I had a great time and would come back.

Fresh air, cold water, insect and frog sounds, and mist made the mountain camp feel peaceful. We enjoyed a bonfire and fried corn with family and friends, and put on music we liked. Thanks, I’ll come back with my gang next time and explore more.

I’d recommend Rami Rest & Coffee if you like coffee. They have different coffee and non-coffee drinks, and the barbecue at night tasted good and was affordable. In the morning, we walked through the forest to a nearby waterfall. With few visitors early in the day, it felt almost private. The green scenery and fresh air made this a nice weekend glamping choice. Even in rainy season, the warm tent kept us dry and comfortable. You could feel the thunderstorm close overhead and still enjoy the experience.
