The towels were shockingly bad, easily the worst I've come across in a hotel. They were faded gray instead of white, fraying, stained, and one kind was so rough I'd only use it for wiping up oil or spills on a garage floor. Hotels might do better with brown towels since they hide marks while still looking nice. With everything else done so well, it's hard to understand how the towels got this bad. Still, I'm giving the hotel five stars: it's a great deal, and the rest of the room had what I wanted, especially the fridge and English-language TV. I'd happily recommend staying here. There was a lot to like in the room. It felt much more expensive than a budget hotel, with a really nice design and wood panels behind the TV and bed that matched the desk, closet, luggage stand, and bedside tables. The closet had a full-length mirror, which is rare in Southeast Asia. It was very clean, and I didn't see any bugs. The bed was comfortable, with nice sheets and a comforter. There was Wi-Fi, AC, lots of English TV channels, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a free bag of snacks. The bathroom was modern and pleasant too. The glass shower divider kept water from getting all over the room, and it had a modern sink and rainfall showerhead. The little turquoise bag with shampoo and shower gel was a classy touch. My only other wish for the room was a safe.

The rooftop pool made the stay even nicer, and the beach is a 10-15 minute walk away. Shops and restaurants are nearby too. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean, and the staff were lovely. I'll definitely come back.

There's no hotel restaurant, but a local restaurant nearby serves breakfast with three choices: ABF, fried rice, or fried noodles.

We had booked three rooms, but they were already full, apparently because of a miscommunication between Airy and the hotel. The management was friendly, responsive, and tried to help by finding rooms at the hotel next door. Those rooms weren't up to our expectations, so we cancelled and found another hotel. The hotel itself seems okay, but parking is a hassle if you have a car. There isn't space even for one, so cars have to be left along the roadside.
