Alba Inn by Soo Bali

I had trouble with the smart door lock, but the Whatsapp Admin & Receptionist were very helpful. The property is a few steps from the beach, and the price is reasonable for the room and services. It has a water heater, AC, and pantry, so it could work for a stay of days or maybe weeks. I found it by searching manually on Google Maps, and it turned out to be a good find.

The soundproofing isn’t great, so you might hear other guests. We stayed four nights at this good budget inn, and the staff were friendly. Rooms are small and simple, but clean and well maintained, with toiletries, towels, a hair dryer, hangers, and a mini safe. There’s a water cooler, fridge, and coffee in the lobby. The location is excellent, just off the main street near restaurants, massage parlors, and shops, and about a five-minute walk from the beach. We paid cash to avoid the card fee.

The staff were friendly, and the pantry felt clean and homey. My room was a decent size for one person, with working AC, a towel and a hairdryer. The window looked onto no view, so I kept the blinds shut. I forgot to take a photo. It’s tucked down a small alley, but close to beach access and the main road. Supermarkets, restaurants, a pharmacy, and the nearby Icon Bali mall are also within easy reach. I stayed for two nights. There’s no elevator, so you’ll need to use the stairs.

The staff made our stay especially warm. They handled our requests, including a lower floor room for my retired parents, and lent us a power outlet converter. Alba Inn is a modest place in a quiet side street, yet it’s centrally located and an easy walk to restaurants, the beach, and massage services. We stayed five days. The rooms are small, but fine for a good night’s sleep if you’re out on trips most of the day. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, the AC cool, and everything worked as expected. Great value for money.
