Bali Paradise Apartments

I thought it was good value, even though some of the furniture is a bit old. The apartment has separate air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, plus a living area with fans. There’s a kitchen, dining table and sofa, and the wifi worked, though it was a little slow. Soap and shampoo were supplied, along with a cold water dispenser. There’s also a shared pool, but I didn’t use it.

I liked the area, and there’s a lot to like about the space: a big bedroom and living room, a great kitchen with basically everything you need, and kind staff. But I’d give it two stars for the problems we had. The whole apartment smelled mouldy, and the bathroom stank as if the toilet had never been cleaned. It was actually dirty. The wifi was so poor I could hardly watch shorts. The bed and pillows weren’t comfortable either. Our laundry smelled horrible, so we had to redo all of it elsewhere. They also missed one of our cleaning requests, even though we only asked for cleaning every two days. I’m not sure if that was a communication issue or if the staff forgot.

The apartment and bedding smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which was disgusting, and the place wasn’t as advertised. There was no one on site, and the booking agent didn’t respond, so I left after one night.

The place was filthy and smelled of sewage, which then came up through the sink. The sheets and towels had holes in them. I left after one night.
