We tried six different rooms while travelling with a friend’s child and bringing our family. The first two were good, with full facilities, TV, fridge, water heater, clean rooms and bathrooms, and hot showers. The next two had worse service. One bathroom was damp and uncomfortable, and none of the toilets had a working exhaust fan. The water heater was dirty and couldn’t be cleaned, so we borrowed one from another room. We asked for a broom and were told they’d bring it later, but it never came before checkout, and there was no apology. Only after we checked out did they say they’d been too busy. That was disappointing. We still trusted the third pair of rooms, which were more like the first two, but one sink was broken. The drain got stuck, and later the faucet stopped giving water. The rooms are a mixed bag, so it’s better to check yours first. The staff are nice, but the service isn’t very good. There are pools, a water refill station, and a meeting room. The pools have different depths, one shallow and one varying, but they’re small and not really good for swimming. They’re fine for playing in the water or sitting by the pool. The refill station is in the meeting room, but only the cold water worked. The hot option was broken, though our room had a heater. The meeting room is near the pools, with tables and chairs. I saw a group use it from around 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lunch provided. Ask the staff about using the facility.

On an earlier night here, the room was dirty, the floor was sticky, the sheets and pillows were dirty and smelled awful, and the toilet was very unclean. The whole place had a strong damp smell that made the stay uncomfortable. Later, we had a room booked, but it was cancelled five minutes before check-in. We had nowhere to go, and they insisted we pay again for the same room even though we didn’t know if we’d get the money back. We’d basically be paying twice. I’d never recommend this place, since there are better options nearby at similar or even lower prices.

The pool is a nice way to cool off on hot summer days. I stayed here because it was near the hospital, and the stay was very pleasant. For the price, it’s a very good hotel.

The exterior looks beautiful and has a heritage feel, and the receptionist was welcoming. Our room was less satisfying: the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, so we had to work around it. The AC also wasn’t cooling properly, and the room felt warm at night. We were too tired to do much about it, so we slept anyway.
