Cove Kanaya

The main drawback is that you have to carry your own luggage. Otherwise, the staff are friendly, the location is strategic, and the price is sometimes affordable. The AC, hot water, Wi-Fi and phone signal all worked. Clean amenities were provided, including towels, soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste. There’s a pantry and dining room with free water, hot and cold, plus a stove and kitchen hardware you can use. A swimming pool, terrace for public use and one in each room with a chair and table, and parking for cars and bikes are available. There’s 24-hour CCTV too.

The room and facilities were clean and comfortable, and felt fair for what I paid. There’s a large parking area and a clean pool. The major problem was the rail workshop across from the hotel. It was so noisy, making annoying sounds almost every day from 08AM till 5PM.

I’ve been here for more than a month and have enjoyed my stay. Cove Team and Cove Kanaya’s staffs have been kind and very helpful, and I can’t complain about anything. My room gets cleaned regularly once a week. There’s a co-working area and a pretty decent pool to use. The location is strategic, surrounded by lots of local restaurants that satisfy my long-crave.

The location and lovely staff are the only reasons I can justify giving this place one star. The washroom isn’t shown in the advertising, and it’s horrendous, like Bates motel bad. I politely asked to leave and get a refund for the days I had left, but got nothing from either Cove customer service or Agoda. They both apologized and acknowledged the photos weren’t okay. I left early, and Agoda still offered only peanuts in compensation. Horrible place, I don’t recommend it at all.
