Double N Guesthouse

The family who runs Double N were friendly, and we had a great homestay experience during our 10-night visit. It sits on a quiet lane near the night markets, with the beach a 10-minute walk away. The room was tidy and clean, with air-conditioning and a portable fan. We often travel to Bali and enjoy staying in homestays, and this was our first time here. It made for a perfect getaway.

A lovely local family compound surrounded by a tropical garden, and the area feels safe and peaceful while still being convenient. The night market and some amazing Warungs are close by. Our spacious, clean room had a comfortable bed, air-conditioning, a fan, and a fridge. Drinking water was provided, and we could request a kettle and crockery. The host family were welcoming and always glad to help with what we needed.

The family was very welcoming and helpful, and the room had decent space for what we paid. The air conditioner worked well, too. It's a homestay very close to Sanur beach, with lots of restaurants within walking distance. When it rains, the room can get a bit smelly since there's no ventilation unless you open the door. That's the only drawback I noticed. For a low-budget place, it's good value, and the location is great.

The service was poor. The room wasn't clean, and there were lots of ants in our bed. There was no hand wash or kettle. When we asked about hand wash, they told us it wasn't a hotel and we had to buy it ourselves. The air conditioning didn't cool the room all night, so we had to use the fan. A terrible experience.
