Inna Bali Heritage Hotel

I booked two rooms through Traveloka in the afternoon and arrived to check in that evening, but the bookings apparently weren't listed in the hotel's system. I waited half an hour while they prepared the rooms. When I finally got in, both were still dirty and smelled bad, with dust everywhere. The sheets were dusty and had a really unpleasant smell, and I could see rodents running around outside my room. A terrible stay, and I definitely won't return.

After we complained, the hotel moved us to another part of the property, which was much more suitable for our family. We appreciated that they resolved it, though that first impression had already left us unsettled. We arrived around 3 a.m. on February 10, 2025, exhausted from travelling, and were sent to a room across the street. It felt eerie and damp as soon as we entered, and it was dirty and dark. The white bedding had turned yellowish-grey, which made the room seem unhygienic, and we couldn't get any rest that early morning. We stayed February 10-14, 2025.

The room was cozy, and it's easy to walk to a few downtown Denpasar points of interest. Charlie Chaplin was among the celebrities who once stayed here in Bali.

The staff were pleasant and courteous, and at least the toilet was clean. Beyond that, I was disappointed: the booking photos are out of date, and we were glad we stayed only two days. The bed was covered in spots, and I could only hope it had been washed. Mold marked the walls, with strange streaks from dirt and water throughout. The old bathroom had a yellowed shower curtain and a peeling bathtub. I hope not every room is like this. The rooms could be fixed up fairly easily, and with a renovation the place could shine again. Maybe then we'd come back.
