Breakfast was great and the pool is lovely, but the meal was repetitive. There was no menu, and it was hard to talk with staff about the choices and accommodation. We chose this location for the drive to Sanur port, which is about 10-15 minutes, but the location itself caused problems. Some cars wouldn’t come down the alley. It has no lights at night, so walking felt scary, especially with lots of barking dogs. Getting a cab in or out was difficult unless we booked ahead. The property is small, beautiful, well furnished and very clean, with a lot of potential. Still, it didn’t feel worth the price compared with other places in the same budget. Staff didn’t seem able or interested in communicating, there were no check-in instructions about the services, and you’re left to figure things out. Most of the time there was nobody at reception. They need at least one staff member who can communicate with guests. For us, the service made the stay stressful and ruined the experience.

Breakfast was delicious, and my room by the pool was spacious, nice and very quiet. The toiletries were sparse, though. There was only a bar of soap, with no toothbrush or other amenities. Parking a car is also a little difficult because there’s no designated parking area, so you have to leave it on the roadside.

Kama’s landscaping was lovely, and the rooms were amazing. But when we arrived on 24/10/2025, there was no running water. Reception said they knew about it and were working on the problem. It’s frustrating that nobody told us at check-in, since we would have gone somewhere else. After three hours without being able to shower, use the toilet or wash our hands, we left. Nobody offered us water or anything while we waited. When we asked for a credit for the stay, we received an email saying they wouldn’t provide one. That response was very disappointing, especially since we’d also stayed at Sara residence during this trip and had a great experience there. The staff apologized, and the water problem wasn’t their fault, but how you respond to a problem matters more than the problem itself.

We arrived in the evening and found the hotel tucked away and hard to locate. The staff, though, were absolutely wonderful and helpful. We had to check out very early, before the chef arrived, and they went out of their way to make fried rice and noodles for my whole family. They even packed fresh fruit for our journey. The food was incredible, and I’m so grateful for their thoughtfulness. It made our stay more memorable.
