Laghawa Beach Inn Hotel

The garden is what keeps bringing us back. It's full of plants and trees, with birds and squirrels, plus a nice pool, and it feels wonderfully unique. I hope they never change it. We've been coming every two years since 2009, and I'm so happy to be back. The rooms are simple but have what you need. Some people complain, but the price isn't high either. If you want luxury, choose another hotel. If a beautiful garden, nice staff, a good location, and fair value are your kind of luxury, stay here.

The rooms aren't especially pretty, but the staff more than make up for that. There's a great pool and residents can use the beach chairs for free, with the beach, main road, and everything Sanur offers all nearby. It was generally very quiet. On our first day, though, a tree needed pruning before it could fall on anyone, so the chainsaw had to come out. Can't complain about that. Best value in Sanur, but let's keep it quiet.

A real find for the price. The grounds and pool are fabulous, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms are small, but clean. The property runs from the main street right through to the beach. There's no restaurant on site, though plenty of cafes and restaurants are close by.

The gardens are beautiful, and the beach and Sanur's main strip are easy to reach. It's a sleepy, old-style Bali resort, though the place felt a little abandoned, with very few staff around. Don't count on drinks by the pool or much service, and the pool was hotter than some spas. Rooms are basic. It works as a budget base for a few nights, but not much beyond that. They only took cash, even in 2024. The overpriced airport pickup was two hours late, and the front desk blamed us, even though we'd given our arrival time well in advance. I can't vouch for the service.
