Lagriya Guest House

Clean and affordable, and the owner was really nice. They even upgraded my room for free. It's pretty close to the Maybank marathon area.

The villa was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Our host was very helpful and accommodating. It would work well for either a holiday or a business stay.

The helpers and the elderly couple living at the guest house were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, and made me feel at home. They were a 10/10 and made the stay more enjoyable. The location was convenient, but the place was overpriced for what it offered. I found I was paying significantly more than the price advertised on a local application. They said some rooms were only available for yearly rent, yet different people seemed to occupy them every two to three weeks, which made me question that claim. The other, larger rooms were said to be unavailable, though they clearly were available to others. The biggest problem was the slow, unreliable internet. It made daily tasks difficult, and the repeated outages made it impossible to work, make video calls, or browse without interruption. I raised it with the landlord several times and asked for a fix, but they became rude and unhelpful. I was told to use my own mobile data, even though internet was included in the price. The bathroom was poorly designed, with no sink, and got stuffy because there were no windows and the vent was broken. There was mold on the bathroom and kitchen walls, which concerned me for hygiene. What began as a great, jolly experience turned negative, and I left early because of the internet, living space, and paying much more than I felt I should have. Google has been hiding my review for two years now.

It's a quiet, pleasant place, and the families nearby were very friendly. There were also lots of nice dogs around. But the bathroom had a lot of mold, and the place didn't look well cared for. If you work online, the internet may not be good enough.
