Little Pond Homestay

The location was great, but the mold smell in my room made me sick. After the first night I woke up with heavy nasal congestion, and the room next door smelled moldy too. I obviously wouldn’t come back.

The staff are kind and helpful, the grounds are well maintained, and the pool is clean, though very heavily chlorinated. It gets quite a bit of sun at certain times of day. The rooms are simple but clean, and the shower’s hot water takes a while to arrive, then stays reliable with decent pressure. The place is east of Icon Bali, down a side road. You might expect noise, but it’s easy to forget you’re only 50m from the Sanur main road. For the price I’d recommend it if you’re fine sharing the kitchen space. Little Pond’s office water cooler is a spot for plenty of gossip and chatting.

A charming little courtyard just off the shoulder of Jal. Danau Temblingan, with comfortable rooms. The bed suited my back well, since the mattress was firm and sturdy rather than too soft. The staff were very nice.

This small homestay is very affordable and quiet, tucked just off the main street in a great location. The helpful staff, small pool, good hot water and Aircon cover what you need for a short stay. It’s no Ritz, but the beds are comfortable and every room has a little terrace. Good value if you’re on a budget.
