OYO 1684 Marina Suite Apartment Bali

I booked through Agoda and paid 350,000 Rupiah, but they moved me to a room at the back on the third floor, saying the place was full. The room hadn’t been cleaned, especially the bathroom, and it was still dirty. There was no soap, toothpaste, or toothbrush, the AC was hot and had no remote, and there was no TV. I’m not satisfied with the service. Please fix these things for the comfort of your customers. That’s all.

Marina suites is a small, old, family-run hotel that seems to do everything manually. I found the way they treated me cruel. On 13/01/2023, I was robbed of my two phones, ID card, driver’s license, and ATM card. Around 22.30 WITA, I walked to Marina suites hoping to stay one night and go to the police station the next day. I had very little money, and I’d stayed there before on 25/11/2022, when I had a room with large glass windows and a terrace. The price had gone up by IDR 50,000 since then, so I begged the receptionist to call the owner and let me pay the 2022 price in this emergency. At 11 pm, the receptionist told me the 2023 price would stay the same. I asked if I could wait in the lobby until morning, then walk on to the police station. At first, I was allowed to stay, but at midnight they kicked me out of Marina Suites. They wouldn’t even let me use the toilet in the middle of the night in Renon. Imagine a middle-aged woman alone, made to leave a hotel lobby at midnight without even being allowed to use the toilet. I had to keep walking, afraid of dogs, to find somewhere to stay, with no phone or device to look for nearby hotels in Renon. My phones and ATM cards had been stolen that evening, January 13, 2023. I won’t stay at Marina Suites again. The family running this small hotel did not show me any kindness.

We stayed at OYO 1684 Marina Suite Apartment Bali from December 27-30, 2019, with about 10 rooms, and left very disappointed. The place was dirty and shabby, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The yard was filthy with chicken droppings, and three bantams were roaming around. Inside, the water was dirty, the bathtub was broken, and there were no mats or mineral water welcome drinks. There was no running water because, they said, the jet pump was broken, so we couldn’t flush. The AC in our room was broken, too. Service was very poor. There was no receptionist, and the owner and staff didn’t respond to our complaints. Parking was cramped, access was limited, and the gate was locked at night, making it hard to get in and out. Even though our child had a fever over 39 degrees Celsius, staff made us pay the price difference for a room with working AC. That felt very inhumane. We were extremely disappointed and put off staying here.
