OYO 2122 Puri Sanur

We landed in Bali around 1am and had told the hotel we’d check in late, around 2am. Nobody was there to help when we arrived. Our driver managed to call them, and after 20 minutes of trying we finally got checked in. The booking said the room rate was only idr100k, but we were made to pay idr200k. The room was dirty and smelly, the toilet filthy and uncleaned, and the water supply smelled bad. We couldn't shower or brush our teeth. My wife was exhausted from the flight but didn’t sleep at all. Bugs and mosquitoes kept us up, and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. Definitely a nightmare.

The breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly and spoke English. Rooms were spacious and clean, with a large TV and a place to sit outside the room facing the pool. All that for an excellent price. The cheap motorbike rental was convenient too. We stayed at several places in Sanur, and this is definitely among the best. The only issue for me was that the Wi-Fi was sometimes very slow, but it wasn’t enough to make me take off a star.

The room felt roomy, and I could look out over the pool. I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, watching the sky and feeling the breeze. The pool is nice, and they serve a delicious breakfast too. 😊

Puri Sanur was great value for money for my three-day stay. The room was spacious, with air conditioning, a TV, and a huge bathroom where the hot shower worked well. I liked the terrace outside the room, set within a large Balinese compound. There’s an open kitchen where you can get tea or coffee and toast bread. The location is good, with nice warungs nearby and the beach about a five-minute walk away.
